2001 sienna, knock sensor
Hello everyone,
I have a 2001 sienna with 91k miles, which is due for a NYS safety inspection, however it failed due to a check engine light. Went to my friends and he put his code machine on and it came up with a p0330 (knock sensor). Tried to reset it, but within 10 min, light came back on. Called Toyota dealer they want approx $1200 to fix. I have been searching the net and found a site that tells in detail how to do it myself, however does anybody know why this would go bad or what contributed to it? I read one article that says that it might not be the knock sensor rather the timing. How do I check the timing?
