short commutes in hawaii.

what is the reason for pulling the motor? is it that you feel like its time 80k.
did the motor KO already? my toyota motors all pushed in towards the 200k, and lived 16 years plus. the two engines that i overhauled didn't need the work. i wasted my time other than to learn how to rebuild a toyota motor. it sounds like your pop took care of the vehicle, and other than belts, chains, and or clutches, i wouldn't change a thing. if you plan to keep the car and want more power, sure. i'd be guessing that it would not be your high performance trick. suggesting to keep it the mellow gas saver and take special care of it. here in hawaii the mileage is very taxing due to the traffic jams on short drives, but all my secondhand toyotas' and there motors i'd standby any day!
