Old Newbie to Toyotas.
I'm 53 years old, and yeah I'm a college professor at the Univ. of Georgia, but I actually know how to do something useful with my hands & brains. Started working on a 1967 Chevy Biscayne in college to keep it running 'cause I didn't have any money. Have gone through a string of interesting vehicles. Currently in the family (under my mechanical care):
2000 Nissan Altima metallic gold/grey with sun/moon roof & wind deflector
1993 Nissan Altima blue with clear coat flaking off here & there.
1989 Volvo 740 White
1979 Jeep Wagoneer brown with the wood decals. Great for hauling firewood, gravel, mulch, pine-straw, and sheets of plywood, sheet-rock, etc. Plus it has a passenger's seat for the kiddos.
The newest in the fleet is the 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS. Bought cheap from a nice old lady who just wanted to get rid of it, and it has problems I'm tackling one at a time.
