Switch in front differential??
I have a 1992 Toyota 4Runner Medalist - auto.
I had the transmission replaced and when I got the vehicle back it would not engage into four wheel drive. I took it back to the mechanic and he said he found a loose vacuum line. Then, the 4WD indicator on the dash started to flicker with the sound of a relay clicking. The mechanic looked at this and said it was a switch in the front differential and he bypassed it and says it's ok. I'm skeptical ..... Anybody have any knowledge on this??
