first time hilux owner

Just purchased my first toyota about two weeks ago. Love the truck. It's a 2.4L diesel, and gets great mileage. The only problem that I have had is the glow plug relay has gone bad. Also the truck smokes a little to much for me. I know that the engine will smoke when I am on the accelerator hard or I am lugging up a steep hill, but it seems to be a little excessive. Any suggestions on where to find a relay and the excessive smoking. Thanks

The truck is an 1984 regular cab, long bed, two wheel drive. Thanks for the info, I'll check the truck forum out.
