Hello Everyone, Help me please :)

Hi guys, i'm new to the forum and my reason for joining is I am planning to buy a corolla 2.0D. I do not know the engine model, in fact i do not even know the body model either. It looks like this:

Can you tell me what kind of power this car makes? I have test drove it but was not very impressed.

Is there anything to do to boost its performance a little. I just know it's a diesel non turbo, 2.0 L.

Any known faults or stuff, it has more than 300K on the clock and the owner said he never had a problem.

Thanks for your input

Hey guys, thanks for your input. Mauritius is east of madagascar in the indian ocean. We receive toyotas directly from Japan and we also have some made in south africa.

This model looks like the one in Colin Mcrae rally 2, if anyone knows it. The petrol version competed in many european rallies in 1998-2000.

Basically, would you buy a car with 300+ miles on the clock, knowing i'm on a real small budget and i'd rather things dont break if i buy it.

I mean, i know toyota is reliable but...

Yes, it is the sedan version of the body used by the rally teams. Carlos Sainz drove one. Anyhow, the diesel engines were never available (not that body type either) in North America. I'm sure if you poke around in the corolla sections though you may find some of our european members that do have some familiarity with it.

Welcome
