USA No Toyota Yet

Hello All,

I am currently looking for a good clean mid 90s Tercel 4 or 5 speed in the Seattle area. $4.50 a gallon in the F350 is putting me in the commuter poor house. I am a research fiend and the Tercel seems like the best choice. I remember my cousins funny look 82. I hope to read and learn and when I get my Tercel you all can help me keep her running for 500,000 miles.

I'd skip a Tercel and recommend a Corolla, Civic, Accord, or Camry instead. Mileage is similar, the vehicle and parts are easier to obtain, and the vehicles have a good track record. Still, $4.50 a gallon may be cheaper than a replacement vehicle unless you drive a lot. Good luck.

A manual Tercel is a good choice. Check if the engine is burning oil, unfortunately it's a common Tercel problem.

The Civic and the Corolla are good alternatives.
