Hello all. I am Whiskers_Jr. I am from Milwaukee, WI and I just turned 16 and got my first car, a 1995 Corolla. It has a 5 speed manual transmission and a rusty old straight four cylinder engine. I have been here a couple times mostly trying to figure out how to take out the back deck of my car so I could get my new speakers in. I want to get an 8-ball shift knob too so if anyone wants to tell me how to take off the current one that would be helpful. If I can't find it with the search I will post. I would like to put a new engine in eventually when I have more money. So there is all about me. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

the shifter should unscrew from the top of the rod and you then either screw on the new one, or use a set screw depending on who makes it.
