USA Hello guys

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone.

I just bought a 2007 Corolla CE with 22K miles. The vehicle hit the back of another vehicle when it had 1400 miles on it. Bent both front fenders, the hood, bumper, broke the grille & head lamps, & tweaked the radiator support on the just a bit. The insurance co totaled it.

The guy I bought it from purchased the vehicle from the insurance co and had it repaired. Cost him $2500 for parts and labor. ( he gave me the receipt for the repairs and all of the maintenance records...always serviced by Toyota)

He drove the car for over a year, put on the 20K plus miles.

Long story short, he & his wife just had a baby, his wife is going to lose here job, and they are moving back to LA, so they put the car up for sale.

I picked it up for 8 grand cash!!!!

I was a bit hesitant to buy it because of the salvage title, but decided to give it try. So far, the only things I discovered wrong is the the liners in the wheel wells were left off, and when they welded the new bumper mount bracket to the unibody, they didn't get it quite perfect. As near as I can tell that is why the gap between the right & left headlights and the hood is not quite the same. I don't think most people would even notice.

I ordered the parts to add cruise control and hope to install it this weekend. (I'm hoping that it as simple and it appears......can it really be as simple as just installing the switch into the steering wheel??)

We purchased this for my wife to drive to work. She's been driving Ford 4x4 F150 SuperCrew pickups for the last 8 years, and the price of gas finally put and end to that. (anybody looking for an cherry 2004 F150 4x4 SuperCrew Lariat with 22K miles????)

We picked the car up a week ago today, she drove it to work on Monday, and one of her co-workers wants to buy it. Should I keep it, or sell it for a nice profit and go looking for another one??
