I just bought a 1986 4x4 truck with the 22r efi. I know LC Engineering makes a killer header for it and K&N makes a bolt on cold air air filter. I would like to know if there is a way to ditch that retarded cylinder mass air flow sensor filter box and do a custom cold air intake? I dont want the K&N because it's about $200 for a bracket and a filter. I can get the intake tubes and sleeves, but is there a way to get around the stock MAF? has anyone on here done this? some pics would really help and a link to a MAF alternative. I've been searching for about a week and no luck. thanx guys.
