Hi. I have a 1987 toyata sr5 4wd extended cab pickup, it has a 22re engine that is fuel injected. I have had this truck since 2000 and have had no problems with the truck. I decided to tune the truck and replaced the spark plugs, and set the timing. But in the shop manual it says that I must short the timing check connector. I can not find the connector, the picture is fuzzy in the picture. where is it located? The dignostic box is not the one so where is it at? This is a great truck and I wouldn't trade it for a new one I have been asked many times to sell the truck, but now with the air conditioner turned on it only gets about 25 mpg. but I have adjusted the timing and can not get it right until I can fing the check timing connector. Can anyone help?
