Hi. Name's Jeremy. My login name was supposed to be Gearhead, but I screwed up on the form.

If there's a site admin who would change that I'd be much obliged, or is it something I can do myself?
I guess I'm a Toyota kind of guy. I've had 3 of them, starting with my first car, and never been without one. Ya know, they just keep on going, and I'm definitely a "car should keep on going" kinda guy.
My first car was a 73 Celica. I had that from 87 to, hmm, 2000 or so. That was a fun car. I really learned how to fix cars with that one, not that the car was bad, just old. I rebuilt everything from the engine to the tranny to the interior to painting the car.
By 99 my first daughter was a few years old and my lovely bride was getting tired of the little Celica with the stick shift, so we found a clean 88 Camry wagon - clean, but with 200k miles. "No problem," says an import mechanic friend of mine, "as long as it's been maintained." Well, now that car has almost 350k miles on it, been hit a couple times, and still runs good with original engine and tranny. Sure, I've had to replace stuff along the way, the engine leaks oil out the rear main seal (replaced all the other seals), and the last rear-ender left it with rear bumper bent down a little and other rear-end damage that, although hard to tell, left the car technically totalled. But it looks pretty much OK, drives fine and still gets 27-30 mpg, so we bought it back from salvage. Oldest kid is now almost 16, so she's gonna get a smokin' deal on a good car with working A/C - she's actually really happy about that. (Fortunately, she never had illusions of getting a brand-new daddy's-money-mobile.)
So, last Friday my wife and I found a 95 Camry wagon with only 113,000 miles, which should be, as the saying goes, "barely broken in". Good condition, needs a few things, paid $4000. 4-cyl engine, which I wanted for MPG and ease of maintenance (plenty of room in engine bay). The jump seat in the back is cool, since now I have 3 kids (plus two for a total of five once a month, long story), sometimes they have friends along, etc.
I saw a reference in the forum to a downloadable service manual, but I can't seem to find it. Is it really there?
I need to troubleshoot the Cruise. When set, it holds speed for 5 - 10 sec, then the light flashes 3 times and it turns off until the engine is shut of and restarted.
I'm glad to have found this resource. Hope I can contribute.
