I have an 2005 Corolla S. I have had to commute every day from Jacksonville, Fl. to Savannah, Ga. (330 miles round trip) 5-7 days a week for the past three years. The little beast just turned over 300,000 miles. Not bad for 3 years huh

Should I replace the timing chain now? I know that the manufacturer suggests it, but there is no noise nor any whining coming from it yet. I was quoted at over $500.00 to get it done... and that is not by a dealer. I have changed out a couple of timing belts on other vehicles before, but never a timing chain. is it very complicated or time consuming....? Any advice would be welcomed! Thanks....
