Gen6 big leak

Hey everyone, I cant tell you how happy I am to have found this site.I have a 89 corolla 4af wagon. I was changing the transaxle fluid when I noticed the fluid pouring out of the rh drive shaft. What I am wondering is with a leak at this location is it unusual for the fluid to be flowing out and how hard it it to replace the seal. I love this car, we have shared 284k together since the day it came home with me.

Welcome to Toyta Nation
Your question would be better answered in the Corolla section. Those guys are sharp and can help you.
Glad to have you aboard.

leaking axle seal most likely....a common issue on older high milage corollas
its not hard to repair, but definitly something a DIYer should not attempt because some special tools and knowlege is needed in pulling the axles and such...id take it to your toyota dealer and get it checked out and get a few estimates in fixing it
welcome to TN.

big leak

Thanks for the reply, I had a bad lh cv joint, and replaced that a year or so ago, it was not difficult, but it was time consuming. The rh drive shaft looks to be a pia because of the center mounting member. I cant picture the puller needed to remove that seal.
