Just call me Jack. I picked up my new Corolla Aug 13/08 looks like is going to be a keeper for a while. My 2nd toyota, 1st was a 70 Corolla wagon. base bottom bare bones car that lasted 100,000 mi and 4 yrs.
In between I have gone thru many cars, mostly fords. I only kept 1 ford I bought, 1966 mustang. Orig owner, not on theroad right now.
I like the new Corolla a few options more than the last 1, and hope to run it 10 plus yrs.
I shall be looking for answers to some questions in the future, 1 being my CE model does not have fog/running lights and I will be looking to add them. I will be getting a Toyota shop manual to give me an idea of what wiring harness' are already there to install these lights. That's the first job and I'll watch the forums for helpfull hints on keeping the car running smoothly. I am planning, after the run in period, maybe 20kkm, to used AMS syn oil. I have have great satisfaction with this product in other cars.

Naw, Cdn flag and Ont cda. Just bought this toyota, was a tossup between it and the Civic. Thought I would keep an eye on a forum to see if I would run into and problems I might be able to avoid. So far I like the car, I only have 500km on it and milage looks like it is going to be very decent.

I see you are from London Ont. I have a few relatives there, a cousin who was a school teacher, he passed away young, but a cousin or 2 there. Grandparents and aunts/uncle lived there.

Did you buy your cars new? I hope this car lasts me 10 plus yrs, love getting high milage on my vehicles. I had an 89 sable, put 235 kkm on it them had trany problems. Wished I had fixed it loved that car for 12 yrs. My mustang has 160k miles on it, haven't really driven it since about 74. slowly working on restoring it. Yeh, real slow I am. I also have an 08 ranger and a 97 harley, so between the vehicles I have the toyota should go 15 yrs. Because of the good milage it looks like it is going to deliver, it may get used the most.LOL Better milage than my bike.

nah im my tercels second owner, and the AE86 i really lost track which owner i am, im the only one doing anything to it though, every other owner just kindaaed it on to the next guy
