Post Locked Motor

Whats up my name is Matt.

I don't own a toyota, but I wheel with a friend that does. The other night while backroading we tried a river crossing which resulted in water in the motor. After removing it from the water with a winch we pulled the plugs and finally got it to turn over. After putting new plugs in and starting it rattles really bad like a bent valve or something. If anybody has any idea what it could be we would be very grateful. He has a 1994 toyota pickup with a 3.0 v6, 32x11.50s, and a 9000 warn winch. I drive a stock 97 Wrangler but I'm working on that.

After pulling the plugs did you turn the engine over to blow out any water in the cylinders?

Any water in the engine oil, trans, etc?

Hydro-lock an engine can cause all kinds of problems. Do a compression test on it will probably give you some idea where you are at.
