New here tonight! T100 Truck owner!
Good Evening Everyone,
My name is Charlie and I just discovered this site today.
I have a 1995 T100 2wd pickup with the 3.4 V6 Automatic. I bought it in 2000 with 219,000 miles on the clock. Needless to say, had it been anything but a Toyota, I would have kept on looking!
Four years ago, it blew a head gasket. My local dealer, Molle Toyota in Kansas City, told me the HG was covered under a recall. They opened up the motor and found that coolant had pitted the cylinder walls and determined that it needed a new short block. So....they installed a short block and did the head gasket on their nickel! I ended up paying something like $600 for the whole ball of wax for things like new hoses, belts,timing belt, etc. Bottom line, I couldn't have been treated better.
The truck now has 361,000 on it a runs fantastic. I do all my own maintenance and have replaced another timing belt, fuel pump, two sets of starter contacts, flushed the trans three times and various other small things.
Anyway, it's great to be aboard and I hope to get to know many of you in the future.
