just to say hi and tell you about me. I am a 33 yr old male living in arkansas. I am currently rebuilding a 1993 toyota corolla. i apparently spun a rod bearing.OUCH! anyway I am almost completed with the engine. however, prior to the blow up my tranny was not operating properly. i'll get into that a little later. this car has 1.8L 7afe motor and automatic OD trans.
I have aquired a 1992 corrolla with a 1.6L 4afe engine it too has a 4speed automantic OD trans. I took possesion of this car hoping that the transmission from the 1992 would work with the 1993 motor, as the 93 is a much cleaner car overall. if anyone has information on this matter please drop me a line. ASAP i am anxious to get the TOY back on the road. thanks and howdy
