Hello There,
I am glad I was able to find this website. My girlfriend has a 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS. It has 85,000 miles on it and runs quite good. Now it is my turn to maintain it...
I recently HAD to do the front brakes on it back at 83,000 miles as her "Trusted" mechanic wanted to charge her $375 to replace her front rotors and pads..... I mean

... Come on!!

Turns out the rotors were fine, just a slight edge on them, nothing my dewalt angle grinder didn't make short work of... so for $50 and 2 hours of my time (took my time as it was my first Toyota brake job) it was done...It was super easy to do and both sides wore completely even! (which is more than I can say with my past experience on other brands of vehicles!)
Take Care and I look forward to all the good info that I am sure this webforum has to offer!
