College Student With A New Corolla - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

At first I didn't see myself buying a Corolla because I thought the earlier models were ugly as all hell. Saw the 2009 however and fell in love. Didn't have the cash (College loans=poor) for the S or XRS models so ended up with an LE instead. Still love it though. I've had a few problems with the tire pressure indicator (currently in the shop being inspected...apparently the indicator valve is leaking air) but so far I enjoy driving it. I'm a 20 year old Texan girl who's used to driving a truck (old Chevy C/K) and I'm getting used to driving something smaller and more fuel efficient--so far I don't mind just paying $29 to fill up 3 quarters of a tank. Thought I could use this forum to learn about my car and how to improve milage and maybe modify it a little. Most modding I've done so far is add an XM radio

so let's just say I'm not very knowledgeable. I know this is a guy's forum but I saw a few female members so I decided to join. Why the heck not? Hope you guys teach me a thing or two about how to take care of this car.

Always nice to have another woman who likes to do her own work on her car join our little community., The guys(and girls) in the Corolla section are very cool, always helpfull and know their Corollas inside and out.

Thanks for the welcome guys. At first I was a little hesitant to join a forum like this since I can't really compare in car experience to most of the guys on here, but so far I've felt really welcome. This is a great forum!

I've been a member of this forum for almost 4 yrs now and I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned here. The members love helping out other Toyota owners. Not to mention the great pissing contests we have..
