European Union Hi from Portugal

Hi guys,

Just to introduce myself, I belong to an Old Japanese Car Club which promotes the restore and maintenance of all the Japanese car makes in Portugal.

I personally have several Datsuns (B110, B210, B310, B510) a Colt Galant and a 1983 Corolla TE71 sedan.

My daily ride is a RAV4 which has been converted to run on gas, since it costs less than half the price of petrol !!!

Due to the work I have been doing in my small workshop, I have been asked by one of the club members to restore his 1971 Hilux (RN-13) for which I will open a separate thread. I am hoping to get some help from you guys in looking for spares which I will need ...

Welcome to Toyota Nation
Your post brings back memories. My 1st car was 1971 Datsun 510 with a 1600(1596) engine. It came with a column shift automatic which I converted to a 4 speed manual floor shift. Then added a header and dual side draft Zenith carbs with intake manifold which came from the 240Z , I believe. I also bored the block 40 over.
I loved that little car. Especially the independent rear axle/suspension and the old dual point/condensor distributor.
Glad to have you on board!
