USA Sienna external amp...3 Toyotas and 2 drivers-new member

Hey everyone:

I was doing a search last night trying to find the specs for the factory amp in my 2000 Sienna van and found Toyota Nation.

We have that 2000 Sienna (has XLE trim but not the badge-listed as LE/XLE by carfax), a 2001 Solara SLE V6 convertible (a birthday gift for my wife), and a 1996 Camry LE V6 station wagon with the 3rd seat option. The only drivers are my wife and I but we do have 5 children st home betwen the age of 4 and 10, so seven seats are needed to move all of us in one vehicle. There is also my wife's son from her first mariage but he is 22 and has his own ride and lives elsewhere...meanwhile we will need some sort of variance from the zoning commission when the rest of them get their own vehicles..lol. We live in central Ohio.

If anyone has read this far, where would I find the specs on the factory external amp in the 2000 Sienna? It has the 6 disc CD changer head unit and the external factory amp. I'm going to replace the factory speakers in this vehicle and I want to know the amp specs before I do. In addition, I would love to add a subwoofer as well but there is really not much space at all to even attempt that...any suggestions will be looked at closely, and thanks in advance!

Thanks

Once upon a time I drove other makes, but I bought the Sienna after a lot of research. I was impresed with the things I saw during the research period, and once I drove the Sienna I was hooked on Toyotas.

I have a friend who sells new Toyotas (actually he is a sales manager now) and the way he puts it sums it up well: "They all drive good when they're new but the Toyotoas drive the sme way when they have miles on them". I think he's right.

I'll post on the Sienna forum, and thanks!

Agreed! I'm comin' up on 292, 000 on my '95 Tacoma 4x4 sx. They only repair so far is the starter at 201,000...and the truck is still going strong. Though I'm gonna need another set of shocks here soon!

Almost ready for that 300K timing belt on your Tacoma...

Mine have a lot of miles left, barring the unforseen:

The Sienna has 103,000 on it and just got the timing belt done at 101,000. I might need to do shocks by spring.

Camry wagon has 133,000 and it is my work car, timing belt done at 96,000 and probably should flush cooling system here before winter sets in.

Solara has 82,000 but she does not drive it in the winter. I'm going to have to put the fuel stabilizer in it here shortly and button it up for winter.

All of them have the 3.0L V6.

Well engineered machines are a pleasure....Best Wishes with yours!

P.S. I did post in the Sienna section. I also called the dealer and they were unable to look up the specs on the amplifier. Maybe someone on Toyota Nation will know.
