94 Camray heater prblem

I'm a new member with a 94 Camray which I'm trying to get to 300 thousand miles. I have maintained this car very well repairing things as they come up. Now that winter is setting in, the heater has decided to quit, and I'm wondering where I can locate instructions for replacing the heater core. I'm going to try back flushing first, but, if that doesn't work, I'll probably have to start tearing things apart.
Help me keep her on the road with some interior warmth.

Also, the dash is cracking due to sun exposure over time. Does anyone sell dash covers?

Thanks,
Zolman

Have checked the heater control valve yet? This valve regulates the coolant to the heater core on/off.

Try www.autozone.com

flushing the core is also a good idea. Remove both hoses to the core from the engine compartment side and run high pressure water through from a garden hose.

The core should be easy enough to remove. It should be in front of the lower dash facing the passenger compartment. Remove a plastic shield to expose it.

Yep, I checked the control valve which is hot on both ends. One hose to the heater is hot and the other is cold, so I suspect that the core is full of crud. I'll flush it out and see what happens.
Thanks for the reply,
