You may have change the wrong one, bank 1 sensor 1 in your case is the one on the driver's side. BTW, it is an A/F sensor.

Thumbs up sick Rav

You are right about that being a A/F sensor, The sensor that I changed is on the driver's side. Thank-you, Steve

Did you use a Toyota sensor? Did you check for 12V across the terminal for the heater circuit of the connector?

Check and compare the heater element resistance between the two sensors, the Toyota one and the Bosch one. It is possible the resistance value difference causing higher draw in the Bosch sensor.

AFR 2002 Highlander

Hi,

I have a 2002 Highlander (V6) and I had a code of p1135. I replaced Bank 1 Sensor 1 with a new Bosch AFR Sensor.

The check engine light and VCS light went off, but now when I start to drive only the VCS light comes back on.

I checked again for codes and there were none. The dealership was confused about this as if there is a problem a code should could up. I don't want to bring it to the dealership and pay $$ to find out nothing is wrong.

Could this be related to using a Bosch sensor vs Denso?

Any help would be appreciated.
