Hey guys my name is Justin, I'm 17 years old and in my senior year of high school. I stumbled upon this forum while looking around at some old school Camrys It seems I stumbled upon an pretty rare car. Nothing special about it just hard to find.
About two months ago I was looking for a car and I insisted on it being a standard tranny. Well I found on craigslist a 93 5 Speed Manual Camry. Me and my dad went over and checked it out and now I got myself a nice car which only cost $2700 after new tires and other mechanical work. I bought it from the 1st owner of the car so I am now the 2nd owner of the car it currently has 241k miles on it.
When I got it we had the mechanic check it out, ended up getting a new harmonic balancer, the interior is like new still even after all these years and everything is intact. Also upon further inspection turns out somewhere within the past year or two the original owner had new suspension put on the car so I can go over speed bumps in my school parking lot at 20 mph :-p. The stereo is as stock as it gets just AM and FM radio for christmas my parents are getting me a nice receiver which has some pre amps and sub pre amps so I can upgrade when I can afford it. I love my car it drives nice only downside is it's the original clutch so it has been used for over 240k miles and our mechanic told us those are only suppose to last about 80k miles. Since the clutch is so old it has a noticable flaw you can't rev the RPMs high and let out the clutch (except in 1st gear) it will just slip after you've let out the clutch all the way until you let off the gas then it locks into gear all the way. Fortunately the plane is to get a new clutch installed right before I go to college then I can get some better acceleration out of it with no slips.
The exterior has a few dings from hail damage and a few side panels have had dings. But after 15 years what do you expect stuff happens?
Just thought I'd join the forums here learn stuff about my car and see if my ride is "pimpable"

Here are some pictures to satisfy:
For anyone curious about the black Senta in the background that is my dad's 1992 5 speed manual Nissan Sentra SER it has some nice power under the hood just with the stock stuff.
Back Side
3 Pedals
Check it out a genuine stick

and the interior looks like new even though it's 15 years old!
Backseat, the belt on the back right seat doesn't work. If anyone has suggestions on how to install a new one and where to buy the parts for cheap let me know.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Any comments or questions or suggestions go ahead I'm all ears.

P.S. Also a little miscelaneous info. I'm an avid Plane Spotter I like taking my Canon 400D out to the airport and take pictures of airplanes I upload pictures to jetphotos.net. I also plan on going to college to major in Aeronautical science and pursue a career as a commercial airline pilot.
