hey now

Hey, just registered to this forum today. I purchased my 09 yaris sedan yesterday


imma big rig driver & never used manuals in cars. im havin lil trouble operating the tranny in yaris. Its so gentle & sensitive that my huge, rough & jagged man hands and feet, keep stallin the engine out

Hey!.. Welcome to TN!

The 5speed in the Yaris is a little different from other manuals. This is because of the drive by wire aspects-- no direct wire to the throttle body. Then the there's the clutch.

Just gotta baby it until you get the hang of it. I suggest you take it easy, do lots of double clutching with an extra 200 rpms more than what you think it should be- at least for the time being.
