Toyota Super Novice says hello
Hello All Toyota Fans!
Most of my family owns Toyota vehicles including myself.
I understand some general parts of a car like oil, gas, and brakes. I absolutely know nothing about how to repair it, so I just put lots of trust in the toyota techs to tell me what is wrong with the vehicle.
Enough of the formalities. I purchased my used car at a Toyota Dealership back in 2003. My very first car, and can you believe that I never got my driver's licence till I graduated high school. Yup I was 18 when i got my license and my first car. I bought a 1997 Camry LE 3.0L V6 used at 96,000 miles for almost $10,000. I guess with most Toyota's they have a high resale value. I still drive it today, even though it has been the best to me over the years I plan to drive it till I can't drive it no more, and that's when I will have to buy a new camry.
Over the years I had to do some major repairs, but I suppose that comes with all the cars you buy.
At about 120k I had replace my battery. 131k I did the whole 6 cylinder timing belt package. Then at 142k my transmission died, so I had it replaced and rebuilt at Kennedy Transmission. 150k I decided to do a transmission flush package. Then every 5k miles I would go into the dealership to get the oil change package. My latest repairs were to replace my front brakes. That cost me alot money. Now I am sitting at 181k and I hope I dont run into anything major.
That's a brief history of my car. The biggest repairs so far would be the transmission. Almost all my repairs are from Toyota techs at a dealership, since most local mechanics I don't really trust my car with.
Anyways I thought I should sign up here since I own a Toyota.
Ciao!
