USA Hi im a newbie just joined

Hi Folks!

let me intro myself.. i bought my first ever toyota a 2007 toyota avalon touring 22000 miles driven vehicle

i absolutely love the ride its smooth and the outside sound is minimal

there are some gripes however the tire pressure light is on since the day i got this vehicle i tried all the advice i read on toyotanation forums about similar issues being faced by other owners.

the tire pressure suggested on the michelin tires says 40psi and when max load factor then 44psi

(its tubeless tire says the dealer)

i tried filling the psi to 40psi in all the tires including the spare tire . that dint work then i located the reset button under the steering dash that too dint work.

then i tried 35psi in all tires (as seen here in the forum) that too didnt work...

tomorow im takin it to the toyota dealer to see what fix they can come up with. from the forum i learnt that even if one stem is damaged or while tire rotation if one of them got damaged the light will still be on

the vehicle i bought was certified so i guess toyota didnt do a good job checking the vehicle

if there is anyone who faced similar issued could you pls suggest some remedies.

are there any fellow avalon fans here in LA area?
hope to keep posting my experiences with this lovely car

God bless u all!!!
AVY

USA thanks Chris

im in my lunch hour the car is being serviced :-)

having driven mostly suvs (Xterra and discovery ) this avalon is nice comfy vehicle. though , discovery was a very comfy vehicle too because of its outrageously low fuel economy i had to trade it in

will post my first toyota service experience

Guys my Avalon got serviced nothing wrong with the tire pressure monitor it was discovered that there was a tire pressure monitor sensor missing in the spare wheel tire that is causing the TPM light to light up

the toyota dealer was asking 340$ for one sensor i smelled a rat and enquired outside there is a shop in LA that offers OEM sensor for toyotas for 134$ installed with taxes!!! whoa! and if you want for all 4 tires then 414$

they even do chroming and if you want OEM chromed wheels which toyota dealers are selling for 2200$ this guy is sellin it for 1200$

else if you just wnat to chrome your existing wheels its around 38 bucks a piece
