Hi there,

I'm from Lowell, MA and new to TN. I have a problem with my 2006 Sienna; it's been a while since I used the park brake and I tried using it recently and after that it won't release back. I tried stepping on it deeper and deeper, but still it won't release.

Any ideas/inputs on how to release this thing? Can this be frozen or something? Please help, thanks in advance...

The brake system does not have separate release?

Look under the dash at the brake system layout. There should be some kind of ratchet system, a pawl riding on a series of notches. If you can find it use something to pop it up out of the notches. Spray some WD-40 in the area.
