Noob alert

Hi! I found this forum while researching the various ailments and complaints of my 1993 Toyota pickup.

I inherited him about a year ago, and as he is getting on in years, he seems to be having lots of problems. But I am growing very attached to the little guy, and learning all about him! I can't imagine buying a new car and making payments when all i have to do is fix my little pal every now and then!

This forum is a great resource, thank you for having me!

wow! that's amazing!

i was first enlightened as to the amazing constitution of older toyotas by the 82 corolla station wagon a friend had. she HATED the car. she had about a 60 mile commute to work every day and got to the point she wanted the car to die, let the oil run dry, just abused the poor thing. It would not die.

The odometer and speedometer had broken long ago at around 200,000 miles, and I don't think the engine was ever rebuilt or replaced..it went way past 200,000 miles. i don't know what finally happened to it, i think it was traded in eventually in the early 2000's. it didn't die though. good thing the odometer was broken, that probably helped her a little on the trade in value, haha!

Yeah, it is, but pretty common place for Toyota's that are taken care of.
