New in Virginia
Just found a 2005 Tacoma access cab with 4 cylinder, 5 spd, on Autotrader. It was in Winchester. Asked my friend, Ray, to drive 5 miles down the road to look at it. He said it looked good; so, the wife and I drove our 1996 Tacoma up I-64 and I-81, hitting 85 mph (and probably getting its usual 30 mpg at such speed on its "Hemmi" engine). Traded it in and drove the 2005 home with cruise set at about 68 mph.
It only showed 22 mpg, but the dealer may not have filled it full. The 1996 averaged 27.4 mpg over 90k miles (had about 60k when bought in 1999).
This 2005 is a beaut. No scratches or dings and metallic gold paint.
Bought a new Extang tonneau for it. Best tonneau of 4; sooo easy to put on and to use.
