Newbie with 80 Corolla Wagon

My name is Bryan, and I from Arkansas. My family has always been toyota fans. My first vehicle was a 4runner and my wife currently has a RX300. I have an 01 Celica and just bought this beauty - 1980 5sp Corolla Wagon. Still learning and reading up on the 3tc motor and possible mods.

First question - what can I do to lower it?!
Second - what offset wheels and size tires do I need to have the wheels/tires flush with the vehicle.

I've been cruising through it and have tried different search words without luck. I'll keep searching though. I may have overlooked it.
