From Lexus to Corolla - Kingston, Ontario

Hey everyone, been lurking for the last little while as I was checking the forum out.

I am currently waiting for my '09 Corolla S to come in to replace my '09 Lexus IS250. I got the Lexus as soon as I got home from Afghanistan last November but I find that it doesn't suit my needs all that much so I traded it in for a more reasonable car that will be a better daily driver.

I used to drive a 2004 Echo and loved it, sold it to my parents while overseas as they wanted a small, cheap car to have as a second vehicle.

Ordered the Corolla with manual transmission, moonroof package and a few add-ons including the bike rack (can't wait to use it this summer).

So again, hi and glad to be part of your community.

Past rides (still driving the Lexus till the Corolla comes in)

Lexus too big? I'm sure both choices would have been good. Welcome to the Nation!

A lot of little things that, as a whole, just didn't make it worth it keeping the car. My main complaint were the seats. Now, I know that a lot of people like leather but I can't stand it so I ordered the car with cloth seats, and they were extremely high quality and everything but much "sportier" than the leather seats in the car I test drove.

Result: Uncomfortable for me, hurt my back considerably.

Other things that annoyed me were directly related to where I live, I work and the driving habits of people around here. Generally bad, slow drivers who really made it impossible to enjoy my car in anyway. I mean, it's not exactly fun being stuck going 30km/h in a 50 zone in a car that could take the same road at 90km/h safely. I'm picky but that annoyed me, having this car that only feels right when it's driven properly.

Oh, and getting out of the car in a crowded parking lot at work (that also has tight spots) was unpleasant since you're sitting low and the doors open wide. Anyway, not trying to make anyone cry but it was annoying me, so I changed for something I knew I would enjoy. Got the car yesterday, very happy.

Ok! That answers my question. I understand

I once owned a Nissan Truck that annoyed me. Nothing wrong with it, but it had issues that just plucked my nerves.
