3rd Generation 2000 Mr2 Spyder Owner-struts

Hello Everyone,
I sure wish I would have found this site before. I have owned three Mr2's. My first was an 86 then 85 and now a 2000. The 2000 now has 61,000 miles on it (all miles are city & hwy.) My weight is 115 and I don't haul things, as you know there is no trunk. Anyway, in the past 4 months I have had to replace a rear bearing and now 4 struts. I've never had a car that had to have struts replaced, even one with higher miles. (Yes, the struts needed replaced, not just a hungry mechanic). The car didn't hold the road right and the car swayed when stopping hard, and seemed to bump while going down the road. (I had new tires put on when the bearing was replaced, so it wasn't bad tires). So if anyone has had this problem, I would be interested to see how many miles you got before this expensive repair was needed. Although not complaining about a few repairs to this 2000, it's a great car and I drive it like a sports car.

Sounds like you'll be hearing from one of our SuperMods, MR2BAD. Welcome to ToyotaNation. I think you've found a home....
