USA New to this site, but not to Toyota’s

We are new to this site, but not to Toyota’s. We have a 1980 SR5 pickup, and have (in Feb.) ordered a 2009 Venza. This should have been the easiest sale the dealer has ever had. We told them exactly what we wanted all options. It’s been 2 months and still no Venza. They do call about once a week and each time it’s a new excuse to delay our purchase. My wife has more patience than me. Anyone else with an experience like this?

We also have a stable full of domestics ranging from 1979 Bronco to 2006 F250. Yes we tend to drive them forever.
