New bloke
G'day! I said all this once and it disappeared into cyberspace, courtesy of an errant finger. We've just bought a heavily loaded 2006 Tacoma from a friend, with 64K KMs on the clock. Spent today changing fluids: rear and front difs, transfer case and engine oil. These tasks make my tasks on my little '92 Miata seem like specks in my eye! The Miata is very heavily modified, courtesy of me, but the Tacoma will stay stock. We plan to make some long trips across Canada and down Sth in the US, towing a "mini " trailer- Little Chief,Trilium, Triple E class when we find one. We are long-transplanted Austrialians, and happy here in North America the past 40 years. I'll be 70 next month. I know nothing about trucks! Born the first month of WW11, and cut my teeth on British sports cars. But this little Tacoma is one heck of a vehicle. We both love it and look forward to ignoring the 150 feet of snowed in driveway and popping the truck into 4 wheel low drive and locking up the rear dif.
