Bought a salvage titled 99 Corolla VE (w/144k on the odo) two years ago and am just now needing to do things to it that may require the forum's wisdom. Paid $1500 for it from a neighbor and hail damage was the reason for the salvage title. No frills on this car, but don't need them. Will put a decent stereo in it, but the creusise control will come WAY later. The automatic gets 36mpg if you can drive 65 mph. It started last January when we hit a record -34 degrees here in the Cedar Valley
We own a VW Vanagon, two Subarus, and the Corolla and the son has a Chevy Pickup. Moved back to Iowa 6 years ago and don't mind the winters like I did as a kid. Always looking for ways to beat Father Rust. Thanks in advance to all that ventually give me the needed advice.
