Hi from new Camry owner

Hi all
I'd like to introduce myself as a newbie on Toyota Nation.
I'm chris, in NZ and recently bought an Aussie built 91 Camry station wagon with 3s fe engine and am pretty happy so far. It has 190'000kms on the clock and we are looking foward to many more hopefully!

Previous/current cars of mine include
99 Vauxhall Astra
64 Hillman Superminx
99 Volvo v70
75 MG Midget 1500
86 Corolla - this car amazed me and its reliability / economy led me to buy the Camry!

Looking forward to getting this Camry engine running sweetly and giving it some much needed tlc

Hi Chris, welcome to the forums!

What part of New Zealand are you from? As TrailDust mentioned, I'm from your neck of the woods - Auckland in fact.

We have an extremely active Camry forum here, which should come in helpful if you have any queries about your car. Feel free to post some pics up in the Show & Share forum sometime too

Enjoy the forums

Thanks TrailDust Kiwi-Corolla,

I'm in Christchurch at the moment having just moved over from Swansea, Wales. But might be moving down South in the next couple months depending on work. I don't mind the cold and rain - reminds me of home!

The Camry pages are really good - I almost regret getting my control arm bushes replaced by a mechanic having seen some of the pictures!

Hopefully I can tackle basic cleaning up of the injectors at some point which may see an improvement in the runnings. Also there is a heavy vibration on full throttle lift off which I suspect is due to loose exhaust/ transmission mountings, hopefully not more serious. The auto box seems fine except for this. I'll post a query in the relevant section if I'm stuck.
