missing hubcaps

I have a 2006 Corolla. I love it. I bought it brand new. I have recently had a hubcap stolen and since then I have noticed every Corolla I see around town has 1 or more hubcaps missing. Is there some sort of prank (online or otherwise) going around about stealing hubcaps off of Corollas? Or is this just a really strange coincidence?

Hello, and welcome to Toyota Nation! Sorry to hear about your hub caps getting ripped off, that's a big bummer! You might want to post up a thread to our Neighborhood Watch forum and see if anyone in your area has information to share about hub caps being stolen. Good luck!

Welcome to the forums!

I hope you manage to find a replacement hubcap, or better yet, your original one. A really good theft deterrent is to use a zip-tie around the hubcap and the inside of your wheel. As soon as they see it they'll no doubt move on to the next unfortunate victim.

All the best, and once again, welcome

Try your local u-pull-it junkyard. Hubcaps are about $10.
