1988 toyota 4x4 toyota pickup
i just bought a 1988 toyota 4x4 22re pickup and it wont stay running! starts and idles great for about 4 seconds then engine light comes on and it stalls and if i hit the gas will very slowly start to gain rpm like 15 seconds to rev full out. changed fuel filter, plug wires, distributer, spark plugs and checked airflow and all seems good, any1 have any ideas to what it might be? dont want to spend arm and leg and long hours if its something simple. this all happened when ran dry on fuel and muffler was removed but the oxygen sencor is still in tact fine on the remaining muffler. seems to me like a sencor but tried unplugging alot of the main sencors and they all made it worse so cant be them.
