Greetings! The site told me to introduce myself, so here I am. I'm timeshifter, I drive a nice little Corolla, and I want to educate myself on how the vehicle works, and beef it up in the process. Why a Corolla? Because I have one and I like it. Please spare me the fifty reasons not to; I've already heard them. I just want to have fun with my car and learn about a new trade in the process. Can't wait to get my hands dirty with this project
Nothing wrong with driving a Corolla . We actually have very active Corolla forums here, so you're bound to learn a lot. Feel free to post some pics in the Show & Share forum sometime too.
Enjoy the forums

'95 auto, 234k miles, still pulls 35mpg+ on I95, of which I traverse frequently... stupid job >_< Love that little car, though. Hasn't failed me yet, even when I almost blew out the transmission from a leak that I didn't notice. Getting it checked up on and maybe replaced is on my to-do list, but it hasn't been even remotely an issue, so why fix what ain't broke? I just wanna take care of that car. I get this feeling that she'll last me forever if I treat her right. As an added bonus, she doesn't bitch at me :p
So where-ish in FL, if yo don't mind my asking? I'm in Delray Beach, which is a really nice area.. only thing I don't like is the hour-long commute to Plantation for work. I'm rather hoping I can find someone relatively local (40 miles-ish) that's willing to get their hands dirty with me, since I really would like to dig into the machine as much as possible. My home computer is an entirely custom build... geek though I may be, I love building things, and cars have always been an interesting subject to me.
i'm here in hollywood...nicer by the beach i can show you the ropes about cars and hey asg14 is comming down on thursday. we plan on going to towershops on friday.(university and i-595)
How's that for convenient placement? I take 95-595 to work What time on Thursday? The job's 9-6, but I work right off of Pine Island, just a few miles away.. although gMaps (yeah, I have a hate-on against Apple >_<) returns three listings on that intersection for "Towershops"... technology is great, but it can be a bit ambiguous at times. But yeah, I could probably swing down during lunch time or after work, depending. One of the nice things about being a contractor is that I can somewhat make my own hours, so let me know and let's see what this little car of mine can take
