New Toyota owner in CA

Whats up everyone? I'm Tony, from So Cal, just picked up my first Toyota ever, a 91 Pickup. It's an extra cab, 4 cylinder, automatic, 2WD. Nothing too special. I bought it as a second car to take transport my quads to and from the desert, and to move stuff, or whatever comes up. I love these engines, the injected 22RE, 230K and it runs smooth as can be. So far all I've done to it is replace the bumper lights and I gave it the ultimate tune up. Mostly preventative stuff and fluid swaps. Here's some pics of yota, as well as my daily driver, the 06 Civic LX.

Oh, and I removed that sh*tty looking exhaust tip. Next week I'm going to this epic auto yard down in Otay Mesa. It's like 100 yards from Mexico, but they've got acres and acres of cars. Gonna find me a tailgate handle and a couple interior trim pieces. I need to get an aftermarket dash kit though, for the CD player, I got it kinda ghetto rigged in there right now. Same goes for the out of place looking tweeters, but those were the previous owners handywork.

to the nation, Tony! I'm in Orange County myself so it's great to have someone local sign up with us. Nice find on the truck, it'll serve you well for years to come...they're tough little trucks!

Welcome to the forum. I've driven the same Toyota pickup but with a diesel engine. It was slightly underpowered but you can't break 'em.

^ haha, yeah theyre definitely pretty slow, but not too bad. the other day I was pullin' on my friends first gen XB, and his was a stick, even. so far im averaging 24 mpg, which im quite happy with. I only wish the truck had a trip odometer to make calculating mileage easier.
