gen 7 Hi my name is John

Hi my name is John from Canada and i drive a 1995 Toyota corolla 1.6 L base model with 220000 km's on the engine...i was testing the starter and i thought i would put some dielectric grease on the contact points on the solenoid and the starter and when i cranked the engine i burnt the wiring harness from the battery to the starter. I went to the junk yard and removed a wiring harness from another toyota and installed it and replaced the starter with a new one and it runs fine again...i just wanted to say Hi and i have some questions...

Hi John, welcome to Toyota Nation!

We have an active 7th Gen Corolla forum here, so there's plenty of great threads to read up on and a lot of knowledgeable people to meet. Check out the DIY thread in particular, as it's packed with useful information. Good to hear that you got your Corolla running well again

See you around the 7th Gen Corolla forum

Hi John, and welcome to Toyota Nation! A trip to the junkyard is a great--and affordable--way to solve a lot of problems. Nice job on your ride!
