Well i just thought i would introduce myself before i started doing research on your site. as i may have questions that are not answered in older post. I own a 1991 Celica GT convertible. I have been a member on another forum for celicas and have general question about other toyota engines that don't seem to be answered there. so i thought i would use this site for that.

For those interested my car isn't very modified as of now. mostly because of the 5S-FE and A/T trans that are in the car. but i've installed a SRI, ran a custom 2.5" diameter exhaust to a Thrush muffler and 4" 3a tip. i've custom worked the interior. removed the a/c and heat. removed alot of stuff to lower the cars weight. i'm up to 250 lbs gone. made an independent headlight control system for the pop ups (i call it giving the car ADD) just got my hands on some alloys from a 94 celica going to paint and get tires later this month.

Thanks i've been working hard on getting it running good and looking the way i want it to.

I know that they are suppose to be rare but they are kinda easy to find here in Florida. Right now there are a 5th gen and 6th gen for sale on craigslist and a 4th, three 5ths and one 6th on ebay.

I haven't had to much luck on the forums yet. looking for technical information about the 3sge.

but i am looking into the main differences between the internals of a SW20/ST202 3sge and the SXE10 3sge. i know they use different trans thats kinda obvious but i was wondering if the crank, piston, rods, and so on are interchangeable. Are they the same block or two completely different engines? all the info i've found leads me to believe they are the same.

Thanks. I do love the ice blue color. it stands out. kinda why i bought it. i was actually on my way to take a look at a 240sx but i drove by a dealer ship and the celi caught my attention. so i did a u-turn. first celi convertible i had come across. so i couldn't let it go. bought it on the spot.
