Hey all you Toyota-ers!

I'm an almost-17-year-old girl and I love cars like a guy. So far I've owned a 1992 Camry, which I sold to my brother, a 2004 Honda Civic which I lost in a tragic accident (only tragic for the car, don't worry!) and this weekend I purchased a 4-cyl 1990 Camry DLX. The inside is pretty horrific and my summer project is to reupholster, recarpet, dye the vinyl and create my own fiberglass console for the car. The upholstery is pretty torn and discolored, the vinyl is very torn, the carpet and mats have mysterious puke-like stains (it was previously owned by a college kid so this wouldn't shock me) that definitely need to go. There's really nothing wrong with the console, other than that it's not as convenient as I'd like it to be and it sounds like a fun and interesting learning experience. I don't have too much car experience, usually the guys in my family butt in and work on my cars for me, but I've had enough of that. It's my turn!

Congrats on the purchase of the Camry. Good to see a girl who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty . It sounds like a nice project, feel free to post pics of your progress if you like
