Since I was in High School my mom gave me her 01 Chevy Prizm (corollas worst cousin
) and I hated it. But ive been one here trollin and looking for repairs as they came along. I blew the motor twice. The second time I tossed/donated the sucker for a tax deduction. Let alone that car took some damage and kept giving back to me.
Well even while I had that I had My dream car which still is a Ford Contour SVT which is the garage queen still under construction, another story.....
But recently (Three months ago) I bought a 91 Turbo MR2 and its been one of the greatest decisions of my life although its been a bit of a hastle.
I bought it Feb 27th, supposedly built, within a month the engine blew. The same day it blew I bought a motor/turbo from a local NJ MR2 specialist PRIME PERFORMANCE(
http://sites.google.com/site/primeperformancenj/). Waited to install it cause I wanted to put a fresh fidanza and clutch in there. Ive done the swap a couple weeks ago finding out I have a LSD Tranny
and now a JDM Gen2 engine and CT20b Toyota Turbo. What a different car. The car came with the usual paint fade so during the down time I started the sanding/painting process which is still going on. Im working on doing a suspension overhaul, already bought the rims (4 weeks back order), BC Coilovers have been installed, new Ball Joints, and just need inner/outer tie rods and sway bar endlinks. I may go further and get sway bars. But that will be the end of modding it as it is going to be my daily driver.
This has been a great couple months to fix this car up and learn and meet a whole bunch of peeps. Im hoping I can meet some of yall at Toyota meets. Looks like I missed a good one yesterday. But Ill be here for a bit I like my car
