Born in Abilene and raised there two years, moved away, then came back at six years old and lived in San Antonio till I was 11. Great times, great memories! I'm giving very serious consideration to moving back to Texas, either there or Nevada at this point.

Always wanted to go to the Rio Grande Valley but never did. I love desert areas and it's on my "to do" list for my next trip to Texas. My family used to own land down at Port Aransas, but we sold that many years ago. The place is probably a bunch of condos and strip malls by now.

Yah, we were there in the late 70s so it was much different. Hardly anything on Padre Island in those days, and it was common for people to go down to the coast from San Antonio and run their cars at high speed on the open beaches. A lot has changed since those days!

Turned 47 in April, so I guess I'm somewhere between middle-aged and an old fart. Back when we lived in San Antonio there was no Loop 1604 and only Loop 410. Don't know if you're familiar with the city at all, but we lived on the west side in Thunderbird Hills. Best years of my life there.
