New to forum, Bought a Solara 'Vert, with pics

Bought a 2000 Solara 'vert. with 107,000 miles. Flying out next week and driving home 500 miles with it. Should I get the timing belt and water pump changed before I drive it home? Owner said it has been taken care of with proper maintenance. I could do it when I get back, just not sure if it should be done before the trip or if they tend to have problems at the 100k mark.
Go here for pics, what do you think? http://annarbor.craigslist.org/cto/1799457504.html
Thanks

Welcome to the Nation

You should be fine driving it back, just take care of the stuff when you get back home. Looks like you got quite the find. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for?

Ditto to what humanoid said, you should be fine for the drive home but I'd still get the timing belt and water pump changed as soon as you can when you get the Solara home. Welcome to the nation!
