4th Generation hello from washington

hey there, i have a 1985 toyota pickup 4x4 extra cab. i am sixteen and bought it this last winter. right after i bught the truck, the rod bearings went and when i pulled the engine apart i was suprised the engine even ran as long as it did. one of the pistons had a big chunk out of the side, but i didnt find the chunk anywhere in the engine.... so im thinking the people i bought it from knew. ha. but anyways i finally got a used engine for it this spring and had it running pretty good until i warped the head. i had an extra head off my old engine that i had already had machined so i just swapped them out but now i have hardly any power and it bogs out when i put the pedal to the floor. im thinking its something to do with my carbuerator????

Some tough luck there with your truck...bummer! That's the way it goes sometimes, until you can break down an engine or transmission you just really don't know how good or bad it is. Our truck forums ought to be able to help you out with those fixes. Enjoy the forums!
