Canada Hi From Toronto, Canada!

Hi folks!

Glad to know that there is such a community out here on the web.

I have a Highlander 2009 Sport V6 (Pearl White), so far am pleased with the ride, did a road trip from Toronto to the east coast last year!

Only complains on this car is the crappy gas consumption
oh and also the fact that the spare parts can only be bought from a Toyota dealership $$$.

Reason i say this is i went to muskoka ontario in spring and while reversing i hit the rear left side on a tree, yes my fault for not looking at the rear camera. But went to toyota to get a quote on the rear left tail light and it will cost $280 just for the part.

Hopefully i will be able to get some help from this wonderful community!

Glad to be a part of it!

bm

Welcome!!

Good to have you with us. Sounds like you've been getting some good use out of your Highlander so far. Sorry to hear about what happened to your tail light. I hope you're able to find a cheaper alternative than going through Toyota.

This place is packed full of useful info and knowledgeable people, so feel free to browse around and make yourself at home

Welcome BIGMOH, from Brantford here. There seems to be lots of aftermarket stuff around. Keep looking.

I went to the dealer to get a price for a throttle body for a 05 echo and was quoted 755 big ones. Found one on e-bay for 53 smaller ones, only used, but does the same job.

Thanks Vic, Awesome idea, I'll def look into ebay.

Unfortunately in Toronto, all the after market shops are telling me that they will be able to get it for me, but they will also have to get it from a Toyota Dealership for me. Hence, they suggested cut them out to save cost and just purchase it direct from Toyota.

I see you've already found the Highlander forum. Great to have another fellow owner join up with us. As for your mileage, don't know why yours is so bad. I've averaged 19/20 city and 27/28 highway with mine the last two years. Hopefully you'll be able to up your average MPG.
